The cause of acne is the same at any age, an inflamed hair follicle. Several fallacies about acne such as the condition is caused by poor diet or dirt in the pores, are dispelled. Tips are offered on good skin care, and how to treat acne. Over the counter cortisone preparations are not recommended.

Article Abstract:

Choosing a sunscreen that protects against both UVA and UVB rays from the sun is important. Most sunscreens only provide protection from UVB rays. Sunscreen should be applied 30 minutes before going outside. Future sunscreen agents may contain synthetic melanin.
