McCoy, 80, has owned and operated California's Mammoth Mountain ski resort since the 1930s, and he dismisses rumors that of plans to sell the resort to a large corporation. He is spearheading a drive to bring a college campus to Mammoth Lakes and plans to link nearby June Mountain ski area.
