Article Abstract:

Steve Jones's victory at Oakland Hills, site of the 1996 US Open, was just the latest example of a relatively unknown golfer winning golf's most prestigious tournament. Jones's victory was accomplished after having been absent from the Tour for three years while recovering from an accident.

Reining in the Ryder Cup

Article Abstract:

The need to bring the Ryder Cup back under control is discussed. The worst behaviour shown in Ryder Cup play has been in the US, first at Kiawah Island in 1991 and then at The Country Club in Sep 1999.
