Article Abstract:

A motorcycling enthusiast discusses the merits of motorcycle fairings from the time he was racing motorcycles in the late 1960s. He remembered that fairings did not serve his purpose back then because it was more like a parachute. However, vintage racer Todd Hennings was able to increase the horsepower of his Honda 350 by using fairings at the 1999 Daytona race.

Article Abstract:

AMA's Five-Year Plan for Dirt-Track was evaluated. The plan involved finding a way to race with production-based engine, reconfiguring dirt-track as entertainment and providing incentives for riders to stay with the program.
