Article Abstract:

Some of the techniques on proper docking the boat include running a line forward from the midship and maneuvering closely to a bollard so that the crew could easily drop the loop on it. The captain has to back off to enable the crewman to position the boat parallel to the dock.

Article Abstract:

A boat expert talks about the dangers of hull-to-deck fastenings that are not glassed and legless railings on fishing boats. He also says that boats with these type of construction should only be used for cruises in placid waters and not far from shore.
