Article Abstract:

Former tennis player and coach Tim Gullikson died on May 3, 1996 after a long bout with brain cancer. As a player, Gullikson displayed a mastery of fast surfaces, especially grass, but, as a coach, he can best be remembered for his ability to bring out the best in his players.

Yannick Noah, coach of the French Davis Cup team, was able to motivate his players to win the 1991 championship. Noah took a casual approach to tennis as a player, but he is inspiring as a coach.
