Article Abstract:

A research study involving 30 people indicates that going to sleep an hour earlier than usual may improve one's mood the next day, even if the number of hours slept through the night remains constant. Changing the sleep cycle may also change the mood cycle.

Research indicates that men who attempt to relieve their bad moods by discussing their dissatisfactions are less successful in improving their moods than men who distract themselves, accept their aggravations or relax. Only short-term moods were studied.
