10 rules we hate

Golf rules help set the parameters of the game, though not all golfers agree with every rule in the book. Among the unpopular golf rules are not getting relief from a sprinkler head or divot hole and disqualification for signing a scorecard after unknowingly violating a rule.

Take the bridge

Article Abstract:

A golfer whose ball lands on a bridge takes a free drop in the hollow below the bridge one club-length from the ball's position. The ball is considered to be in a water hazard if there is water under the bridge.

Not partners in crime

A golfer who mistakenly plays a partner's ball is disqualified for that hole. The partner plays a ball from its original location and is not penalized.
