Casa Cove in San Diego, CA, is ideal for scuba diving due to its unique underwater topography. It features some of the most beautiful submarine creatures. Some of these are the Umbrella Snail, Sand Tube Worms, Moon Sponges, Giant Keyhole Limpet, Horn Shark and Giant Kelpfish.

Santa Monica's Long Wharf: Southern California's largest pier is gone - but not forgotten

Santa Monica Bay's Long Wharf was built in 1892 and stretched for about a mile from the mouth of Potrero Canyon. It was dismantled in 1920, and its submerged pilings and sunken artifacts offer opportunities to divers as well as souvenir-seekers.
