Black light and marine life

Article Abstract:

Underwater photographers getting bored of conventional marine photography should consider ultraviolet light photography. The use of ultraviolet (UV) light illuminates a wide range of marine life invisible to the naked eye. UV light causes many substances and marine fauna to fluoresce.

The 1996 Diving Equipment and Marketing Assn. Show featured booths which chronicled the development of underwater breathing equipment. In addition, several interesting diving publications and handbooks were also showcased.

Avoiding DCS; more on earthquakes

Article Abstract:

Safe ascents from all dives under any situation are not guaranteed despite the latest information on decompression sickness (DCS) prevention. Currently, there is a 0.5-3% chance of DCS in some dives.
