Stainless steel and other alternatives to standard rectangular pools are being offered with more options, quicker installation and easier maintenance. Concrete remains the dominate choice, while fiberglass, vinyl, PVC and stainless steel are becoming competitive in the commercial market.

Wave pools, which generate simulated swells of nearly 10 feet, are major attractions at water parks. Equipment failure disappoints patrons and causes spill-over to other attractions, complicating the frustration. Tips for maintaining wave pools are provided.
