A veteran diver recounts how he managed to ascend from his favorite shipwreck in Lake Michigan after running out of air. He admitted his failure to account for the buoyancy of his empty tanks and to check the amount of air in his reserve tank.

Confessions of a deep diver

Article Abstract:

Some professional divers discourage the practice of undertaking deep diving operations. Realizing the dangers involved, many dive travel operators follow the depth standard limit and would not take recreational divers below 130 feet.

Squid: a night encounter of a fluorescent kind

Article Abstract:

A skin diver describes an encounter with a group of opalescent squid during an night dive off Little Cayman. The squid moves through the water using jet propulsion and protects itself by emitting a cloud of ink.
