6 more reasons to visit Bermuda's shipwreck alley

Article Abstract:

Six shipwrecks on the Bermuda reef systems recommended for dive visits are presented. These are the Norwegian-built Tauton, the English freighter Darlington, the German-built Pollockshields, the British mail streamer Caraquet, the American schooner Blanche King and the Chinese-built Xing Da.

San Diego's Wreck Alley

Article Abstract:

Wreck Alley is an ideal playground for skin divers because it is only a mile from Mission Bay, CA. It also has a public boat launch at Dana Landing and the wrecks could be sunk deep enough for the Navy's requirements while within recreational diving depths.

A howling good time in La Jolla: an underwater pumpkin carving contest

Ocean Enterprises in San Diego, CA, sponsors an Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest for scuba divers every October. Divers armed with dive knives go underwater to carve the pumpkins within the allotted time of two hours.
