The 1992 Nikonos Shootouts showcased an an interesting array of underwater photos that reflect the immense enthusiasm shared by a growing number of underwater photographers. There are absolutely no fees to enter the contests' three different categories which are the Open, Standard, Wide Angle and Macro/Close-up.

Jim Church's latest book on underwater photography, the 'Essential Guide to Nikonos Systems,' includes primers on Nikonos V and the Nikonos RS and all their lenses and accessories and the three Nikonos strobes. Church has been an underwater photography teacher for 23 years.
