The negative social world: The Polish culture of complaining

Article Abstract:

Researches conducted since the transformation period of Poland suggest that the Poland citizens hold a negative view of the social world and hence have formed a complaining culture amongst them. The culture consists of mainly three factors that include belief in negative social world, the experience of one's own subjective states as negative, and behavioral scripts of chronic expression of dissatisfaction.

The dynamics of societal transition: Modeling nonlinear change in the Polish economic system

Article Abstract:

A model of dynamic social influence is used to model social transitions in Poland as social influence plays an important role in social transitions. Research suggests that rapid social transitions occur in a highly non-uniform way as society may become divided into regions of the 'old' and 'new' social reality.

The transformation period in Poland since 1989 brought significant changes in the political, social, and economic situation of the Polish society. The hypotheses and the interpretations of the demographic changes in the Polish society are discussed.
