Article Abstract:
The existing literature regarding children's street work and the oft cited theoretical frameworks used to explain street migration are reviewed. A social development model for the international social work community is proposed, in light of limited income-generation approaches for street-working children, to consider as an alternative to existing responses to children's street work that seek to meet the children's basic needs.

Article Abstract:
An alternative multidirectional model of technology transfer is presented with reference to the limitations of existing models of social work exchange. This model based on social development principles, would be effective in depicting the global dissemination of initiatives originating in developing countries that are successfully applied in the developed world.

A study to explore programs and outcomes for homeless street youth in faith-based organizations in Mumbai, Los Angeles, and Nairobi is presented. Similarities are shown in client outcomes, there are differences in conceptions of street youth and the various services that are given.
