Problem-based learning in social work: A study of student learning outcomes

Article Abstract:

The evaluation of the learning outcomes, namely, knowledge, skills and values and the relationship of the outcomes with different variables of student learning motives and approaches are discussed. Results revealed that positive learning outcomes with the cost significant gains occurred in knowledge and skills and values had lesser gains.

Article Abstract:

A description is presented on a course providing instruction in evidence-based mental health practice in a postgraduate setting. Concepts covered include statistical testing, use of blinding and control groups, randomization, the hypothesis testing/falsificationist research model and justification of conclusions.

Development and validation of the social work career influence questionnaire

Article Abstract:

A study of the attitudes of master's of social work students with respect to their career choice is discussed. The Social Work Career Influence Questionnaire was used in the study.
