Predictors of attrition from day treatment of adolescents with substance-related disorders

Article Abstract:

The predictor variables of attrition from a day treatment for adolescents with substance-related disorders are examined. The adolescents who were living in housing services presented more difficulties to adhere, to attend regularly, and to maintain a link with the day program.

Multiple predictors of substance-abusing women's treatment and life outcomes: a prospective longitudinal study

This article evaluates outpatient and residential substance abuse treatment programs for women. The authors, assessing long term treatment and life outcomes, maintain the women's complex life factors are the largest determining factor of success of failure in treatment.

Links between social networks of drug users and criminal activity are investigated. It is proved that these networks are long-term barriers to rehabilitation.
