Article Abstract:

The case of Jiangxi province's Liuxia village is used as the basis for describing and analyzing the process of transformation from an agricultural economy to the new migrant economy. It is suggested that steps must be taken to improve the development of rural capital and financial markets, and cooperative economic organizations should be actively supported.

Article Abstract:

A study of the She people, who immigrated to the northeastern Jiangxi province of China from the region of the Xin'an River and Fuchun River in Zhejiang province, is presented. It reveals the ways in which they have preserved their ethnic culture and fostered ethnic relations in their adopted environment.
