Article Abstract:

Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the United Nations (1948/98) states that everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion which includes the right to change the religion. Religious freedom is largely ignored in the past few years, and it has come to be referred to as the forgotten human right as governmental and non-governmental organizations have devoted relatively little attention to religious freedom.
