Article Abstract:

Intellectual property rights incorporate degree of novelty and innate usefulness and have emerged as an important factor for the multinational corporations (MNCs) and world economy. The formation of Trade-Related Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) to control piracy and technological protectionism in developing countries is analyzed.

Globalization and global justice: Towards a social work of resistance

Article Abstract:

The transformation of the social work role through the imposition of neoliberal policies is creating widespread dissatisfaction. Some bases for resistance to these policies are identified and their potential for informing a new paradigm, based on a rejection of neoliberalism in social work is discussed.
