Article Abstract:
Data on the immunization status of over 3,000 vaccine-eligible children born from 1985 to 1990 were culled from the 1990 Demographic and Health Survey for a study of the probability and timing of full immunization from 1985 to 1991 in Colombia. Findings show a negative influence by five of six observed risk factors on full immunization probability. A drop in waiting times to full immunization was also noted during the period among 1,376 immunization cardholders. Findings indicate a rise in demand for routine immunizations during the period, with only the highest-risk households not exposed to the routine program.

Article Abstract:
Technological disasters are rarely just events limited to a specific space or time but are more often part of a process of decisions leading to the disaster and occurring after the disaster. The Exxon Valdez oil spill is a good example because preventive and cleanup efforts were undermined by ineffective contingency plans and reduction in necessary staff both on the oil tanker and in the Coast Guard to cut costs. The process of planning disaster prevention needs to be better understood so that adequate policies can be devised to prevent and respond to a technological disaster.

Article Abstract:
A dynamic input-output model is used to derive some sectoral forecasts for Istituto per la Ricostruzione Industriale (IRI) activities. IRI is the biggest mixed-state enterprise of Italy. The effects of IRI's policy decisions on the Italian economy and the reciprocal impact of the country's economy on IRI are particularly examined. The preliminary assessments evaluate how 1991-1995 IRI sectoral investments and production plans will be affected by macroeconomic variable changes.
