Article Abstract:
An attempt is made to clarify authentization, indigenization, cultural sensitivity, cultural competence and globalization that are controversial issues in cross-cultural social work. A model of dynamic Asian response and exchange in the field of cross-cultural social work practice in Asian countries is suggested in terms of various Asian cultural contexts.

The traditional concepts of mental health that have a significant impact on clients in Chinese communities are discussed. A short description on the way both culturally sensitive and culturally competent perspectives could help a migrating family face their problem in a multicultural country is presented.
