VFW in action

Article Abstract:

Unmet Needs falls under Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW's) Military Assistance Program which was funded through VFW Foundation and it assisted families of deployed or recently returned troops with up to $2500, and provided monetary aid to get people back on track. Nicolette Baughman applied and received more than $1600 which she used o pay rent, car payment and food and she appreciated VFW to help them in their times of need.

Role of reserve forces: Crux of conference

Article Abstract:

Assisting veterans of the National Guard and Reserve after returning from war was in the forefront of discussion of the meeting at the Legislative and community service conference 2004 in Washington DC. The meeting was in relation with the number of causalities among the US troops serving in Afghanistan and Iraq has increased with the increase in the number of loss of US lives.

Don't be a victim of financial abuse

Article Abstract:

Military families can be prime targets for financial abuse because the pension pay and savings are often considerable. Some guidelines are provided on how to prevent financial abuse.
