Patterns of internationalization of Spanish innovatory firms

Article Abstract:

Factors cited in the eclectic theory and tacit components of the company advantages play significant roles in the internationalization strategy of Spanish innovatory firms. Data taken from 814 innovating companies revealed that location considerations such as market size, production costs and price level act as vital factors in illustrating the international strategies of Spanish innovatory firms. Factors related to organizational and technological capabilities of firms were also proven vital in the internationalization strategy of innovatory firms.

Patterns of technological change among Spanish innovative firms: the case of the Madrid region

Article Abstract:

Spain's Madrid region is home to a group of firms that have gained renown for their innovativeness. The innovative processes adopted by these firms are studied. Results indicate that several factors influence innovative processes in these firms. These include sources of scientific and technological knowledge, technological opportunities, learning forms, technological level previously attained and uncertainty over knowledge creation tasks.

Multinational companies and technological change: basic traits and taxonomy of the behaviour of German industrial companies in Spain

Article Abstract:

A study of German international firms in Spain shows that despite the presence of advanced technological assistance and resources for industrialization and development, less-developed countries will not advance at the speeds common in more-developed countries. The process of development must be gradual. Statistics on the performance of German internationals in Spain are given.
