Market distortions and technological process in agriculture
Article Abstract:
Price policies have always been associated with agricultural productivity although there is scant research available to prove this relationship. The effect of price policies on research and development has to be established since technological innovation is important in agriculture. A theoretical analysis indicates an ambiguity in the relationship between price policies and investments in agricultural research. This implies that other factors affect agricultural research investment and agricultural productivity. It is suggested that one factor is misguided public-sector research policy.

Article Abstract:
Research towards the design of hypersonic aircraft under the National Aerospace Plane program is used as a case study to analyze a common research obstacle that involves the lack of necessary current technological knowhow and equipment to test and apply research findings. In this situation, there is a need to undertake research simultaneously on two fronts: design and the necessary test instrumentation.

A forecasting model for profitability of innovations based on disruptive process is discussed. A method to calculate supply and demand in emerging markets under uncertainty is given.
