Institutional relationships and technology commercialization: limitations ofmarket-based policy

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted on market and non-market policies concerning technology commercialization. Results showed that inconsistent policies emergedwhenever commercialized technology was approached with sole focus on economic individualism. Institutional organizations and non-market structures and processes were found to be just as influential as market-driven strategies in commercializing technology.
