Article Abstract:

Research examining the standards for job analysis is presented. Particular attention is given to criteria used in evaluating the accuracy of job analysis data. It is emphasized that existent criteria are theoretical and lack consequential orientation.

Using traditional criteria or interrater agreement and deviations from proxy true scores to accurately evaluate job analysis is considered of little practical value. Instead, this essay suggests using criteria focusing on the consequences of job analysis data.
