Article Abstract:
The Abinse market center in the Guma Local Government Area of Benue State, Nigeria, presents an example of how a strategically located agricultural product market has the potential to contribute to the economic development of a community. Located along a river bank in Benue State, the Abinse market center witnesses the exchange of a wide array of agricultural products between and among hundreds of sellers and buyers daily. Although the market center already provides efficient marketing services to the community, more modern amenities, such as water, power stall and an abattoir, will contribute to the efficiency of the market transactions and will, consequently, transform Abinse into an economically viable market center.

Case managers must be trained in standardized assessment techniques and be required to use them to make effective placements for foster children. Case managers must be committed to the importance of standardized assessment. Research has shown that many managers do not feel this is true, perhaps because they feel customary practices have proven reliable. Introducing new assessment strategies must be combined with efforts to change the culture of organizations in which this work is performed.

Article Abstract:
Sociological evidence demonstrates a correlation between gun availability and the explosion of violent crime. Legislation imposing strict liability on gun manufacturers, importers and dealers is the most cost-effective way for cities and states to deal with the proliferation of violent crime. Washington, DC's Assault Weapon Manufacturing Strict Liability Act of 1990 is the model localities should follow in enacting such legislation.
