Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to examine the role of the presence and absence of on-site 12-step meetings during treatment on post-treatment outcomes of substance use. A sample of 219 polysubstance-dependent clients was used for the study, and was followed for one year of post-treatment. Results show that holding on-site 12-step meetings could help in promoting post-treatment remission maintenance.
