Some forecasts of the state of technology and man in the 21st century are presented. During that time, countries will belong to any of three worlds: the world of advanced technology, the world where there is a fair balance of supply and demand of resources and the biggest world where poverty reigns. Technological advances will be made in genetics where the human race will be equipped with the means to control his evolution. The concept of global management will become an all-important concern.

Aside from the traditional foundation, building or medical grant, they may be channelled to the development of fresh approaches to traditional issues such as education and poverty or the study of emerging issues such as global technologies. Other applications include the drafting of a new US constitution and the conceptualization of a new work and employment construct.

The airline industry is losing its customers because of its inattention to their needs for punctuality, comfort, service and reasonable prices. Despite the industry's outstanding safety record, it has failed to attract the patronage of the wealthy and highly mobile American market. The Federal Aviation Administration is doing little to remedy the situation. The airframe manufacturers lack long-range strategic planning.
