Clock drawing test in very mild Alzheimer's disease

Article Abstract:

The onset of Alzheimer's disease can be indicated simply and efficiently by the clock drawing test. Studies show that patients that made two or more errors in drawing the clock hands properly have a 100% positive predictive value for the disease, and a 51% negative predictive value. However, consistently correct placement of the clock hands does not negate the possible presence of the disease.
