Age-related brain changes associated with motor function in healthy older people

Article Abstract:

Researchers conducted a study to identify motor function changes of older healthy people by examining the MRI imaging findings. Researchers measured their finger tapping, hand opening and closing, steps and time to walk 30 feet, and others. They study revealed that changes observed in MRI are associated with decline in gait.

Association between visual attention and mobility in older adults

Article Abstract:

The association between visual attention/processing speed and mobility in older adults is examined. Results reveal that visual attention impairments/slowed visual processing speed in older adults is independently associated with mobility problems.
