Article Abstract:
The importance of a cognitive mechanism in accounting for age differences in attitude change is demonstrated by examining the influences of cognitive resources and motivation on how young and older adults process different quantities of persuasive arguments. It was found that age differences in attitude change were mediated by age-related declines in working memory capacity.

Article Abstract:
The longitudinal association between positive affect and onset of frailty for 1558 initially nonfrail older Mexican Americans from the Hispanic Established Populations for Epidemiological studies of the elderly database was examined. Positive affect is protective against the functional and physical decline associated with frailty.

Article Abstract:
A research is conducted to see if older adults have greater difficulty than younger adults in ignoring task-irrelevant information during reading as a result of age-related decline in inhibitory processes. Significance's for age-differences in inhibitory control, working memory, and resource capacity are also discoursed.
