Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to examine the positivity bias among two age groups 18-27 years and 52-85 years of Hong Kong Chinese, by presenting them with health-promoting messages that had the same content but different background music. The result showed that older Hong Kong Chinese remembered the most information from messages with negative, relative to positive or neutral, background music, while the younger adults did not show these biases.
