Temperature dependence of atmospheric concentrations of semivolatile organic compounds

Article Abstract:

The cyclic fluctuations exhibited by the atmospheric concentration of semivolatile organic compounds (SOC) were shown to be a function of the surface contamination and the atmospheric concentration, with temperature affecting the air-surface partitioning. Temperature effects is directly tied to surface evaporation and air advection, both of which increases the rate of SOC diffusion into the air.
