Making fluids into solids with magnets

Article Abstract:

Experimenters can change a liquid into a solid and the solid back into a liquid in a few seconds by using a magnetic field and a magnetorheological fluid. This fluid has particles in it that cause the fluid to become solid in the presence of a magnetic field.
