Article Abstract:
A research shows dissolution of iron oxides by phagotropic protists via a new procedure to quantify reaction rates. The method introduces a new technique to study the reaction of iron oxides in seawater, basing on the synthesis of colloidal ferryhydrite with an inert tracer. The experiment detects the rate and extent of iron oxide reaction through the measurement of the tracer accumulation in the dissolved phase. The measurement is also capable of determining the rate and extent of iron oxide in kinetically slower procedures.

Article Abstract:
Titanium dioxide (TiO2) photocatalysts proved useful in inactivating the viability of bacteria and the destruction of E. coli cells. The thin transparent TiO2 film was able to kill E. coli cells under UV degradation. Moreover, the endotoxin from the cells was also effectively destroyed. Medical facilities, and even environmental protection projects, could greatly benefit from the bactericidal properties of TiO2 photocatalysts.

Article Abstract:
A study was held to review the effects of surface modification of nanocrystalline titanium dioxide with certain chelating agents on photocatalytic degradation of nitrobenzene. The report is broken down into the introduction, a discussion of the experiment, and a discussion of the results.
