Determination of compound-specific carbon isotope ratios of chlorinated methanes, ethanes, and ethenes in aqueous samples

Article Abstract:

Researchers from the University of Waterloo, Canada evaluated the accuracy of carbon isotope ratio analysis for chlorinated methanes, ethanes, and ethenes in aqueous samples. Direct solid-phase microextraction (SPME), headspace SPME, and headspace equilibration were used to determine the ratios of carbon isotopes in chlorinated solvents.
