Article Abstract:

The lack of adequate computational analysis caused the London City government to lose millions as the venture to automate the London Stock Exchange collapsed due to certain technical difficulties that rendered the London Stock Exchange paralyzed after some time. Experts believe that the venture might have been a victim of escalation. Escalation is the act of making a wrong decision and losing even more because of continued adherence to the decision. Technology managers should study and review technological choice prior to implementation.

Communication, distance, equivocality and motivation are the four key factors to accelerate knowledge and technology transfer. Data analyses indicate that there are four distinctive clusters that demonstrate contrasting characteristics in terms of these four factors.
