Article Abstract:

The lack of adequate computational analysis caused the London City government to lose millions as the venture to automate the London Stock Exchange collapsed due to certain technical difficulties that rendered the London Stock Exchange paralyzed after some time. Experts believe that the venture might have been a victim of escalation. Escalation is the act of making a wrong decision and losing even more because of continued adherence to the decision. Technology managers should study and review technological choice prior to implementation.

The factors affecting the buyer-supplier long-term partnership are explored. The partnership effects on the buyer's operational performance is discussed and the conceptual model is constructed based on the transactional cost theory and relational exchange literature.
