A simple video recording setup is presented which will help amateur scientist record their examinations on the microscope. The technology is centered on the modified eyepiece adapter, which enables a videocamera to be mounted directly on the eyepiece of the microscope.

Steps in building a solar projector for telescopes, which can be used for observing solar eclipses, are presented. The solar projector is made out of a five-gallon plastic paint bucket. The image of the sun is projected on a flexible Da-Tex rear-projection screen.
