Sorption of oils by the nonliving biomass of a salvinia sp

Article Abstract:

In this study, the sorption of oils onto the dry biomass of Salvinia sp., an aquaphyte, was examined and the results were reviewed against those gather from a commercial oil sorbent, Peat Sorb. Accumulation and decay of chlorothalonil and selected metabolites in surface soil following foliar application to peanuts

Article Abstract:

Peanut plots in Georgia treated with chlorothalonil are tested for concentrations of chlorothalonil and metabolites during a series of applications. Foliar interception and degradation of chlorothalonil is graphed, showing the need for further study of foliage washoff and the half-life of metabolites as pollutants.

Identification of UV photoproducts and hydrolysis products of butachlor by mass spectometry

Article Abstract:

Butachlor, a chloracetamide herbicide which is used in many rice fields in China for weed control, has very little information on its effect on aqueous organisms and ecosystems. The following study was conducted on the photodegradation of butachlor. Gas chromatography/mass spectrometry was used to identify the hydrolysis products and photoproducts of butachlor.
