A combined soil-atmosphere model for evaluating the fate of surface-applied pesticides. 2. The effect of varying environmental conditions
Article Abstract:
Researchers from Israel investigated the effects of climate variation on pesticides applied on soil surface using the one-dimensional nonisothermal model simulation. The model reveals that the weather has a great influence on pesticide volatization and persistence rates.

Influence of clay minerals on the hydrolysis of carbamate pesticides
Article Abstract:
Increased usage of carbamate pesticides, which are used in agriculture as herbicides and insecticides, are posing a risk to polluting groundwater and soil. The behavior, including the transformation of carbamates in the environment, is critical to understand. The following study examined the clay minerals' (montmorillonite, illite, vermiculite, and beidellite) influence on the hydrolysis of five carbamate pesticides (aldicarb, chlorpropham, carbosulfan, primicarb and carbofuran) through the use of batch experiments.
