Article Abstract:

The brutality suffered by the British sailors at sea is illustrated. The primary causes of mutiny were cited as alcohol and anger although the ultimate reason was evolutionarily adaptive emotions, which expressed nonadaptability, with irreversible consequences.

Issues concerning ways in distinguishing between pseudoscience and science are discussed. Particular attention is given to characteristics by which one can detect pseudoscientists, including their tendency to rely more on speculations than on scientific data.
