Elixaire Corp has developed a new air filter for automotive air-conditioning systems. The filter, made of polyurethane-foam, features a design with winding air passages that are almost impossible to clog. Although designed for the automobile, the filter may have other applications as well.

Issues are presented concerning the development of a clear varnish which features the same ultra-violet filtering characteristics as sunscreen by the Fraunhofer-Institut in Germany. The two step application process is discussed.

A description is presented of the design and construction of an air filter which has been developed by Atmospheric Glow Technologies who have incorporated technology used in germ-warfare. The filter purifies the air.
