Article Abstract:

The efforts undertaken by the Sydney Water to consolidate three Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPS), which involved restoring the plant closest to the large local industry base, improving treatment capabilities during storms, and producing water suitable for industrial reuse, is presented. The main objective of the plan was to improve water quality at beaches confirming the guidelines set by Australian and New Zealand Environment and Conservation Council.

Article Abstract:

The work organization in advanced electronics manufacturing in Philippine export processing zones is explored. A broader, place-sensitive notion of production politics is developed and the implications of the findings from the analysis are addressed for workers and labor movements in Philippines.
