21st century SST

Article Abstract:

Supersonic transport (SST) planes are nearly three times as fast as jets and are forecasted to be able to carry 300 passengers at Mach 2.4. NASA is even planning to construct a prototype SST engine and nozzle. However, SSTs have been criticized as environmental hazards, uneconomical and noisy.

Should the Osprey fly

Article Abstract:

The safety of the Bell-Boeing MV-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft is being called into question following several crashes, with particular concern over design and crew training. The MV-22 flies like a plane but can take off and land like a helicopter.
