Why Russians are seeing red

Article Abstract:

The Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) looks certain to dominate the country's lower house following the recent parliamentary elections. The revival of support for communism in Russia reflects ordinary people's disappointment with economic developments over recent years. The existing government has not been able to give any firm promises of economic improvements, and this has prompted people to turn to a party which has been promising higher pensions and more jobs.
