We Muslims must root out the terrorism of the mosque

Article Abstract:

The response of the Muslim community in the UK to the implications of the case of eight Muslim men from the UK accused in Yemen of planning a campaign of terror has not lived up to the requirements of the Muslim faith. Furthermore, it has not lived up to Muslims' aspiration to become an integral element of UK society. It is right to try to ensure that the accused obtain a fair hearing. However, calling for anything more than this is to seek the right to meddle in an independent judicial process. This would damage the moral integrity of the British Muslim community.

Bombardier Khan's private battle

Article Abstract:

Former British soldier Nasar Khan is to become the first person to take a racial discrimination grievance against the Ministry of Defence to a civilian tribunal. He alleges that he was exposed to systematic racism and discrimination over a long period, with his superiors taking no action to defend him or investigate his complaints. He is bringing a case under the 1976 Race Relations Act, and his lawyers also argue that his rights under the 1998 Human Rights Act have been infringed.
