Candles have become an integral element of interior design in the UK. It is now possible to purchase many different types of candles. Church candles, which offer clean, natural lines, are very popular, particularly pillar versions. Some are of poor quality, containing little or no beeswax. However, those made by E & S Churchill, which contain high levels beeswax and burn extremely efficiently, are very attractive. This company is only small, but its workshop is now producing more than 300 handmade candles a week.

Roddick brings image of plenty to farmers in Italian backwater
Article Abstract:
Body Shop, founded by Anita Roddick, has launched a range of products using natural bergamot oil from the Calabria region of Italy. Bergamots, a citrus fruit resembling a large lemon, have been grown for many generations in this part of Italy, which is experiencing severe economic problems and high crime levels. However, there has been little demand for natural bergamot oil in recent years. Body Shop is currently taking only 3% of oil produced annually, but may take more if the bergamot range sells well.
